Point of Entry Microfiltration

Point-of-entry microfiltration (MF) is an efficient, cost-effective method to control Legionella and other waterborne pathogens.

Using filters with small pore sizes and some with charged media, MF physically removes bacteria without high energy or pressure requirements. It’s ideal for hospitals and high-risk facilities due to its reliability, low water loss, and compatibility with UV and RO systems for enhanced protection. It also removes food sources for the pathogens making it hard for them to thrive. MF boosts disinfectant effectiveness by removing organic particles and can be tailored based on water quality.

Monochoramine Systems
Monochloramine is an FDA-approved solution commonly used for Legionella mitigation and supplemental disinfection.

Although municipal water contains disinfectants, levels can drop inside buildings due to large or complex plumbing systems. Legionella Control System's monochloramine system ensures safe, continuous monitoring of disinfectant levels and is certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 and 372 standards. It features 24/7 data tracking, web access, alarm notifications, and safety measures like leak detection and automatic shutdowns.

Contact Legionella Control Systems to determine if monochloramine suits your facility and assist with ongoing Legionella testing and water management planning for long-term protection.

ST108 Risk Assessments
To comply with the ST108 standard, healthcare facilities must undergo expert external assessments of water-related systems, especially those affecting medical device processing.

Legionella Control Systems offers specialized ST108 risk assessments, tailored to each facility’s needs. Their certified team, backed by nearly a century of experience, evaluates systems like RO, DI, filters, and piping. The assessment follows sections 5 and 10 of the ST108 standard, requiring a multidisciplinary team to conduct water quality risk analysis, performance qualification testing, and identification of impurities. A full report is provided, detailing risk factors, test results, and actionable recommendations to mitigate potential waterborne hazards.
