Legionella Remediation with Copper-Silver Ionization

Copper-Silver Ionization (CSI) is a great choice for Legionella remediation, especially in situations where your facility cannot be shut down. In traditional Legionella  remediation a strong dose of disinfectant is administered to the water system. These high doses of disinfectant, however, are not safe for people in the facility and requires a period of evacuation.

With Copper-Silver Ionization, and other disinfectants such as chloramines and mixed oxidants, we can dose the water system in much smaller amounts. We dose with these smaller amounts but over a longer time frame, usually around 2-4 weeks. This allows your facility to stay running and not disrupt daily activities as the disinfectant exposure is well below regulated levels. This ability to keep your facility open is especially important  for some facilities such as medical facilities, nursing homes, and correctional facilities.

Keep your facility open and effectively remediate Legionella with an independent waterborne pathogen expert like Legionella Control Systems. After remediation it’s always good to monitor results with Legionella testing and ensure long term success through the development of a water management plan.
